The Trust for Civil Society in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE Trust)
announces an open Call for Proposals promoting the development of civil
society in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, and a thematic Call
for Proposals in Poland.
The
CEE Trust is inviting interested and qualified non-profits,
non-governmental organizations, expert groups, coalitions, and
education institutions to submit Letters of Intent in the following areas:
· Accountability of Public Institutions
· Civic Engagement and Community Mobilization
· Solidarity in Social Life
· Supportive Environment for Civil Society.
In HUNGARY priority will be given to proposals addressing corruption.
In SLOVAKIA priority will be given to proposals targeting public accountability especially on local and regional level, strengthening investigative journalism and watch dog activities.
In the CZECH REPUBLIC there will be no open call in October 2008. In January 2009 a thematic call for proposal will be announced.
In POLAND the theme of the Call for proposals is “Agenda for modern societies”. To see the full text of the Call click here.
The Letters of Intent should be clearly related to the mission and objectives of the CEE Trust.
The CEE Trust reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Letters of Intent and will notify all applicants of the outcome of the call for Letters of Intent assessment.
The Letter of Intent and Project Application Form must be submitted electronically (via e-mail only) by but no later than on October 27, 2008, to the following addresses:

Applications received by post, fax or in person or after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
Applicants will be notified about the results by November 28, 2008.
